LMDA plans to publish the fourth volume of its online dramaturgy SourceBook, its first volume since 2003. The SourceBook compiles resources by fellow dramaturgy colleagues to assist the education and practice of dramaturgy in academic and production settings.
The editors of the SourceBook seek contributions of materials to share with colleagues through this important dramaturgical resource. These materials may be submitted in any format, including syllabi, lesson plans, bibliographies, class and rehearsal assignments, activities/projects, manifestos, articles, personal stories/experiences, and others. The SourceBook will be organized by topic area and/or format of material, based on the submissions received. more »

"One of the most distinguished dramaturgs in the country, Engelman has helped bring new plays to life on major stages from the McCarter in Princeton, N.J., to the Intiman in Seattle. Past president of the Literary Managers & Dramaturgs of the Americas, she is based in Minneapolis, handy to the artists' retreat she founded and runs at a place called Norm's Fish Camp. "

Welcome to the new, improved LMDA website! Thanks to a generous grant from the NEA, we have redesigned our site to maximize accessibility as well as aesthetics. The new site features a new design, as well as a number of new features: online Member Profiles, online Registration and Renewal, and online Donations. The site has also been reorganized, so if you can't find what you're looking for right away, feel free to use the Site Map or Search features as a guide. Also, please continue to use LMDA's Master Calendar of New Play Activities and Events to publicize your work with new plays, or to find out what's going on in your area. The Calendar is available for everyone's use, but only LMDA members are authorized to post and edit events. Special thanks goes to Danielle Amato and Winston Neutel for their help in redesigning the site! As always, if you have questions or comments, feel free to contact us! |
