NYC LMDA: performance
Performance of One Arm and post-show discussion with dramaturg David G. Schultz
Thanks to David G. Schultz for helping put this together:
"New York LMDA members and friends are invited to a performance of and post-show discussion Wednesday June 22 following the New Group and Tectonic co-production of One Arm, Moises' Kaufman's adaptation of Tennessee Williams' screenplay of the same name. The composition of One Arm spanned 40 years of Williams' career.
I served as dramaturg on the piece, and in the research process for the show, I (along with a network of intrepid research assistants) copied and indexed pages and notes from numerous archives around the country, giving Kaufman and the cast access to text from every stage of Williams' composition. The post-show discussion will feature a presentation of those materials as well as a general overview of Williams' and Kaufman's process. The New Group has generously offered our group half-price tickets for the show, but tickets are selling fast, so please RSVP to Leah Hamos (leah.hamos@abramsartny.com) soon, and we will send a discount code.
