Biography
I am a multi-disciplinary feminist theatre artist with a focus in community engaged performance and cultural memory. I have a Master of Arts from King’s College, London in Theatre & Performance Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from Alma College in Theatre & English. I am a Part Time Instructor in Theatre at Schoolcraft College.

After moving to the Metro Detroit area in 2012, I have continued to look for community-engaged non-profit arts organisations to bring my experience as an academic, artist, and arts administrator. I have worked regionally with Heritage Works, Ann Arbor Dance Works, A Host of People, Tipping Point Theatre, Matrix Theatre Company, Puzzle Piece Theatre, and the Michigan Equity Theatre Alliance; and internationally with the London-based production company, Turtle Key Arts. I am a co-founder of the Detroit-based theatre experiment, RUMPUSROOM.

After two years of living in London, England, I returned to my hometown to complete research for my Master of Arts dissertation, “An Utterance Unheard: Examining the Rhetoric of Community Art in Detroit.” This research exposed me to a wide variety of Michigan art, artists, and art practices around the state. I emerged from the writing process humbled by my fellow artists, and excited about entering a professional artistic career, based in Michigan. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Theatre & Performance Studies in January 2013, with a focus in cultural memory and community engaged performance.

I am an Actor’s Equity Association Membership Candidate and an Alumni Epsilon member of the international English Honorary Sigma Tau Delta.
