Biography
Tracy is the Co-Artistic Director of Concrete Theatre, a theatre for young audiences touring company in Edmonton Alberta. She has worked as a director, dramaturg, teacher and producer for 25+ years and has held the Artistic Associate position at Alberta Playwrights’ Network as well as at the Citadel Theatre where she co-created and directed KidsPlay@ the Citadel.
She has been the co-producer of several play development programs including Script Salon, a monthly play reading series of Alberta plays, EDMONten- A Showcase of Ten-Minute Plays and Peep Show!, a tease of new plays at SkirtsAfire Festival, where she has helped with the development of 33 new plays written by Edmonton women.
New works that Tracy has directed and dramaturged include The Book of Ashes by Emil Sher for the Northern Alberta Children’s Festival, Last Chance Leduc by Katherine Koller, and The Invention of Romance and Matara by Conni Massing at Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre.
She is the facilitator of the Young Playwriting Company at the Citadel Theatre, teaches for the Writes of Passage program through Workshop West, and has offered online playwriting classes through her company Write-A-Play.
Upcoming: Fresh Hell by Conni Massing at Workshop West and The Space Between Stars by Christine Lesiak at SkirtsAfire Festival, both in 2023.
