Leora Morris Receives Dramaturgy Driven Grant 

The Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA) is pleased to announce the recipient of the Fall 2011 round of Dramaturg Driven Grants: Leora Morris. This round of grants saw six applications, and the selection process was overseen by LMDA’s Vice-President of Programs, Stephen Colella, along with committee members Kristin Leahey and Rachel Ditor.

For week 9 of the LMDA Twitter Project, LMDA welcomes guest tweeter Toby Malone.  Toby, a native Australian, is the Resident Dramaturg, Literary Manager, and Associate Artist at Toronto's Soulpepper Theatre Company and will be giving a behind the scenes look at their upcoming season as well the The Word Festival,  a multi-disciplinary event based around the 1611 publication of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' and the King James Bible.  To learn more about Toby or the Twitter Project, click HERE.

In week 8 of the LMDA Twitter Project, LMDA welcomes guest tweeter Jeremy Fiebig, Assistant Professor of Theatre & Directing at Fayetteville State University.  Jeremy will be sharing a behind the scenes look at some of his current projects as well as what its like working in education dramaturgy.  For more info about Jeremy, click HERE.

The LMDA Twitter Project stays in the UK this week as we follow Hungarian born, London based dramaturg Katalin Trencsenyi.  Katalin, who is the president of the Dramaturg's Network, will be giving an insider view at their 10th anniversary celebration.

This week the LMDA Twitter project heads across the pond with Dublin based dramaturg Sam Yates.  Sam is an American studying at Trinity College and will be providing insights into the Irish theatre.

For week 3 of the LMDA Twitter Project, we will have guest tweeter Kate Bredeson.  Kate, who is the receipient of the 2011 LMDA Residency Grant, will be sharing her experiences with teaching theatre history, mentoring student playwrights, applying for grants, and directing a new play reading
