Amherst, MASarah Brew is an MFA dramaturgy student at the University of Massachusetts where she has pursued an interest in the translation of Spanish Golden Age drama. She earned her BA in English at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2008, and most recently dramaturged the English-language world premiere of the Japanese classic "Ginga tetsudo no yoru" ("Night on the Galactic Railroad"), the production which will be the subject of her paper on the Dramaturgy Debut panel at ATHE this summer. She is currently working on the first-ever English-language translation of Tirso de Molina's "El Amor Medico" ("Love the Doctor") which will get its world premiere on the UMass stage this October. Sarah's other interests include Shakespeare, new play dramaturgy, and digiturgy.
