Heather Oberlander recently graduated from Utah Valley University. She has acted as dramaturg for several new plays including Stars, Rainbows, and Elementary School, The Lion Hunter, and was assitant dramaturg for Skinless at the 2012 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival New Play Intensive. She was also lead dramaturg for several mainstage shows at Utah Valley University including Oklahoma!, Othello, Cato, and A Doll’s House, for which she won honorable mention in dramaturgy at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, region VIII. She recently won the region VIII dramaturgy award for her work on Next to Normal at UVU. She has dramaturged for the Sundance Resort Theater Company for several years. She is currently working on a devised piece about women’s relationship to their bodies for the Push Theater Company.
