LAURYN E. SASSO received her BA in Theatre Studies from Wellesley College and her MFA in Dramaturgy from UMass Amherst. She has also studied with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA and the National Theater Institute at the O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT. Previously, she worked at Perishable Theatre in Providence, R.I. and with the SPF Summer Play Festival in NYC. She is in her 10th season at Asolo Rep. During her tenure, she has served as dramaturg for the theatre’s mainstage productions and New Stages education tours. She also co-adapted 2013’s New Stages Romeo & Juliet with director Dmitry Troyanovsky. She moderates the discussion series Inside Asolo Rep and is in her third season as Festival Curator for Asolo Rep’s Unplugged Festival of New Work.
