Biography:

Anthony Kennedy is a theatre director/designer/dramaturg/perfomer whose work focuses on queering, and what it means to tamper with normative methods of creation, performance and spectatorship. As a genderqueer artist this conversation is necessary part of all their work, but the emphasis is on the playful and questioning, rather than the dogmatic. Anthony has spent the last decade making theatre in North America, Britain and Germany. Their career began with an emphasis on site responsive, immersive work (Listed Theatre) and while this is something regularly explored, they are equally excited working in a post-dramatic tradition in a pros-arch/black box setting as well. Along with theatre, Anthony works in other forms of contemporary performance such as puppetry and dance often working with Bread & Puppet Theater.

Outside of live performance Anthony does video art, photography and cinema projects.
