Amy Bredemeyer

Amy K. Bredemeyer graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University in 2006 with a BA in Theatre and a BA in Religion, with a minor in Child Development. She also received her MA in Theatre Studies in April 2011, also from Florida State. In Tallahassee, she dramaturged the original work, American Jihad: A Historical Crusade in 2006, and The Rocky Horror Show in 2008. Amy also did children’s educational outreach for Afternoon of the Elves in 2007. In 2010, Amy dramaturged Everybody Loves Opal at the Montgomery Theater in Souderton, PA, and was the Drama Specialist for Ewing Recreation in Ewing, NJ. During the summers of 2005 and 2006, she taught week-long drama camps for Junior Girl Scouts in Bradenton, FL. Her scholarly interests center around television and children’s theatre, and she is continuing to pursue a career in dramaturgy and theatre education.
Amy is currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is doing a variety of freelance writing, in addition to developing her own television blog, www.thetalkingbox.com.
