Biography
Sheridan Schreyer (BFA) is a theatre artist and scholar passionate about portrayals of trauma on stage and the dramaturgy of theatrical intimacy. She hails from Pennsylvania's Amish Country and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre with a Minor in Psychology from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Sheridan has also studied with Intimacy Directors and Choreographers, Theatrical Intimacy Education, The Association of Mental Health Coordinators, and is Mental Health First Aid Certified.

Sheridan has worked professionally as an actor, administrator, stage manager, and producer at theater organizations across the Northeast. Highlights include acting in two new works with Goodspeed Musicals and serving as the inaugural Associate Producer at Gretna Theatre. She also has freelance experience as a casting intern, grant writer, and teaching artist.

Outside of serving as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University Bloomington, Sheridan pursues independent research exploring trauma-informed theatre practices. Her most recent piece "Promoting Psychophysiological Play: Applying Principles of Polyvagal Theory in the Rehearsal Room" can be found in Volume 2, Issue 1 of The Journal of Consent-Based Performance.
