Biography
Charlotte Maskelony is assistant dramaturg in the music theater and concert divisions at Theater Freiburg in Germany. Currently, she’s preparing for Philip Glass’ "HEROES" Symphony in February and the German premiere of THE HANDMAID'S TALE in June. This fall, she was dramaturg for GROUNDED and ROMEO AND JULIET at Washington National Opera.
Charlotte has worked with the Glimmerglass Festival, the American Opera Project and the Saarländisches Staatstheater. Her time at the Staatstheater was supported through the Congress-Bundestag Exchange — a year-long State Department fellowship to Germany. She speaks both English and German, and has written Wagner supertitles for the Glimmerglass Festival. She accepts freelance work.
