LMDA partners for the second time with Golden Thread Productions in San Francisco for its ReOrient 2019 Festival of Short Plays, to curate and co-host a team of dramaturgs led by Regional VP Metro Bay Area and Festival Lead Dramaturg Nakissa Etemad, along with Research and Publications Dramaturgs Emily DeDakis, Laura Espino, Scott Horstein, and Michael Malek Najjar. This 20th anniversary of ReOrient features 7 innovative, spirited, and thought-provoking plays set in Turkey, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, and the U.S., by some of the top Middle Eastern and American playwrights living here and abroad.
